2007-2008 Scholarship Contest Theme:
"the Many Faces of Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Health"
Very few escape this world without some sort of mental, emotional or physical crisis. Life seems divinely designed to try and test our patience, our character, and our ability to find joy amidst the pain and suffering.
Those facing social and mental health issues often feel alone and isolated in their struggles. They may feel anxiety and fear about what others will think, say, or do if they knew about their "problems." This keeps many from finding the necessary resources to regain a sense of hope and happiness.
This years scholarship opportunity hopes to put an everyday "face" on issues surrounding mental and emotional health.
